My high school is only in its second year of operation and we are under a lot of pressure to produce a good book. We still need about $10,000, but have run out of fundraising ideas. Can you help?
What about a Coffee fundraiser?
Specialty coffee and beverages are an exploding market nationwide and it practically sells itself. Java Joe’s Roasting Company is an upstate New York based coffee roaster, who specializes in fundraising. Organizations will realize a profit of $2.50 or more per bag sold. The products will be customized to promote your organization (free of charge) and there are no set up fees or minimums. This fundraising program is equitable and offers your supporters a first class practical product that is perfect for every day use. I’m sure people will be impressed that they can support you by purchasing a product that they intend to buy anyway. Good luck! I hope I was able to help.
p.s. My son’s preschool made $2,496 during a 2 week campaign.

Ask each kid in your school to donate $10
(You'll get more than you'll need)

bake sales (have every1 donate something)
have candy grams (people pay like $2 and get to send them 2 there friends, it has candy)

Good old standby. Bake sales every week and car washes if you’re in the south. Yard sales too. Make crafts and have a craft fair right before Christmas.

$10,000 to do what??? You need to decide how much each student can pay for a book and go from there. Make a list of businesses in your town and draft a letter from your editor and your faculty sponsor, and send it to each business requesting donations in exchange for advertisements in the yearbook. If it turns out you can raise the $10,000 by offering a tax deduction from your school, good, but I am still thinking it is too expensive. Follow up each letter with a phone call. Send out a letter to each parent requesting assistance in producing your yearbook, have some one with a good sense of organization to form committees and get parental involvement and faculty involvement in helping the student members of the yearbook staff. I would also do a web search and get bids for your yearbook. I hope no one signed a contract for this $10,000. It’s too much.
