School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

Hi wondering if anyone has any ideas for fundraising for a dance school based in Sydney, At Tregear ,I am looking at raising money for dancers costumes, does any one have any ideas,i have a few ideas but interested in finding more,it would be very much appreciated if you could all help me on this one, they are lovley students needing a hand for payments with costumes.

We have done all kinds of fundraising! Here are a few things we have done:
~sold cookie dough, candy bars, pizzas, t-shirts, gift cards and gift certificates, flowers at recital,
~car washes
~worked concession stands at local events
~sleepovers, we did this at our dance studio & the older team girls ran the sleepover, the younger students attended and paid a fee that covered dinner and craft supplies, then the remainder money was the team's profit
~parents night out–this is the same concept as the sleepover, except it was just babysitting for the evening. The parents dropped off the children at the studio, the older team girls ran it, they paid a babysitting fee for the evening, dinner, dancing, and a craft was included

good luck!

  1. jessica Said,

Since people in your community -i guess- like to dance
you should hold a school dance -not anything formal just wear whatever and hang out with your buds
my school does it all the time to raise money for football and cheerleading
maybe you could also have a bake sale-or go to a school and sell things there for lunch-im sure kids would buy stuff because everyone hates school food
hmm maybe have a talent show for your dancers-wearing just their regular clothes
and to get in you have to buy a ticket
    soryy i am all out of ideas-hope i helped♥♥

  3. Tutus & Pointe Shoes Said,

Usually, dance studios send out fund raisers (candles, candy, etc.). I've learned that many parents just buy the product from their children and not too much money is actually made. My studio does car washes every year, and they are extremely successful (they're usually done somewhere like McDonalds on a really hot day). Coin drops are usually successful. Sometimes you can make a deal with a family-oriented restraunt (TGI Fridays for example) in which people come to eat at the restraunt on a selected night, bringing with them a coupon. When it's time to pay, you hand in the coupon, and the restraunt gives a percentage of the money to the dance school. You can also perfom at local fairs. Be sure that the dancers get involved in whatever you do, and have them all wear matching colors, or a dance school jacket so that they get lots of attention.

    Hello,

A great fundraising idea is Mia Bella Gourmet Candles. These are all natural candles in a jar. Since the candles are all natural, your jar won’t turn black as you burn them. It goes over well in fundraisers. You can request more info on my website. I will then send you out a fundraising packet. We look foward to helping you reach your goal.

I actually do fundraising campaigns selling however many$10 gift cards for the cause. You do not have to pay a dime for the cards, just sell them and keep half of the poceeds. Easy huh? It is. I make it that way. I raise money for childrens sports teams and drug and alcohol programs primarily but dont mind doing other things as well.

We get the people within your organization to help us drive memberships and in return we pay you a large portion of the proceeds. My email address is scottkirby@ymail.com. Let me know if we can help
