School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

My friends and I are on the school council and we wanna have a good grad this year so were trying to think of some fundraisers but have had NO luck. The best idea gets 10 points =D

One silly fundraiser we did in school, that was fun was the secret word. In order to play, people purchased a fuzzy for a dollar (fuzzies are made by taking yarn in the school's colors cutting into pieces about 1-2 inches long and tying a bunch together with a long string that people can have as a keepsake) Anyway, people buy a fuzzy for a dollar, in the morning, the secret word is announced over the PA, ours was "what" – when you get someone to say the secret word, you get their fuzzy. The person with the most fuzzies at the end of the day wins a prize – which was coincidentally – a giant fuzzy. Good times.

  1. !neleh Said,

"promises auction" (like a slave auction but more politically correct)…people offer promises up for auction, like promising to tutor a subject, or clean, or make food or whatever.

bring and buy sales…boring but can make a bit of cash

rent a bouncy castle and charge to use it so you make a profit

    cake sale

a disco in school that you have to buy a ticket for…that would be quite cheap to run and you could have a good bop!

    hope this sets off a load of ideas =}

Bingo with donated prizes people in the community may sponsor or give you prizes.
You can have a yard sale with donated items
    car washes
    Spring Yard cleanup
A silent auction with donated items or services
    hope they helped.

Well, depending on what grade level, there might be different suggestions. I'm on an 8th grade topic since I'm 8th grade president…

    1. Bake sale – have your class bake things that you can sell during lunch.

    2. School dance – the name speaks for itself.

    3. Candy grams – you can have people send grams to other people in the school

    4. Dunk (don't know the name) – You could get one of those things where you throw a ball at the target and he/she falls in the water. We got a lot of money cause we used hot people.

    5. Play – you could make a small theater production or talent show with admission.

Sorry if they aren't any good. But good luck!

  6. School Fundraiser Said,

If you’re not limited by a time period, http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk is a good idea. You register a cause and by shopping online, the cause of your choice receives a percentage of the sale. As you can see in the short term it might not be too effective, but over a year or a few years, you might see the donations add up to a sizeable sum.

  7. Pete Said,
