School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

my school needs to raise funds for the annual school leavers prom, and we are really struggling too come up with suggestions for fund raising. preferably ways that we can do within school hours, that is easy to organise! HELP ?

Since it is nearly bonfire night + halloween, could you organise something around those events?
You could make cakes with decoration to do with halloween, such as a cookie shaped as a ghost covered in white icing.

    Host a fashion show
we did it for our citizen project
we called the local mall and asked them if it would be possible to borrow the clothes for an event they
we got pupils from the school to model, talented people to provide music and entertainment
    we had food and drinks
we even had pupils doing demonstrations on how they did the makeup
we charged 3.50 to enter and made loads to donate to charity
and to make it more worth it we had a competition the 100th person through the door took 30 pounds of vouchers for the mall
well worth doing it and will be a really fun event for everyone involved

if you wear uniform try a` non-school uniform day or you could do a raffle or something for the younger students in the year.

Something my son’s school did was to get every child to do a painting (could be a self portrait) then they mounted them all nicely, bought a huge stack of cheap plastic frames, then sold them to parents for £6. Virtually every parent bought them (including me!) as it was something nice to put on the wall, or to give as an unusual present for an auntie or uncle. All parents love getting things their kids have made, and frames worked out about £1 each, so bargain!

    Good luck :)
