I'm the sophomore class president for my school, and i'm wondering if anyone could give me some ideas for fundraisers. So far I've only been able to come up with:
selling roses for valentines day
selling secret admirer cards
bake sale
car wash..and all the usual stuff.
Any help would be much appreciated.
how about a fundraiser for Valentine's day! you can sell crush sodas meant to say i have a crush on you. or you can sell hugs and kisses meant to say here are you hugs and kisses from me. or you can make valentines day cards. or put them all together for a packaged deal. we did this for a GT fundraiser at my school , and we sold to middle, high, and elementary school. we made a lot of money, so maybe it will work for you. GOOD LUCK!!!

Almost all fundraisers involve an investment of some type; buying food goods to be sold, item such as roses, cards, etc. This is a fundraiser that requires almost nothing so the profit percentage is quite high.
Have the faculty and administration submit photos of themselves when they were between the ages of three and five. The photos should be photo copies off the copy machine (5 x7 or so) so your not responsible for the originals. Each person submits his/her photos into a sealed cardboard box designed like a ballot box with a slot on the top. When all photos have been submitted (after a reasonable period of time) they are removed and posted with a number some place where students have access by security is good. (Office or behind a glass protected bulletin board.) Students then buy a sheet to submit their answers. They may submit as many sheets as they are willing to buy. The most correct answers get first prize, next number second prize, etc. The amount of cash for each prize is up to the fundraising committee. The staff and administration at the end lets the fundraiser people know which photo is theirs and the winners are tabulated. Charge what the market will handle for each sheet and everyone on the building is allowed to play. (Some photos are really good for a laugh when you fine out who they are.)
The game can be played with student photos as well. But getting copies can be more trouble than its worth. Cost to the sophomore class to run this is practically zero.

I have a free report I created about school fundraisers. It has 40+ ideas that I think would work great for high schools. Some of the ideas can be used all year and are 100% free.

Hi Sylvia,
One thing that has worked well for our church is a discount card fundraiser. Basically, you sell a card that lets your donor save money at restaurants & stores. I can give you more info if you like. No cost up front and they're great now because of the economy.
If you need info, E-mail me at roaks@lubbockicoc.org.
