I’m on student council and i am looking for some good ideas for some fund-raising.
Penny wars!
every grade gets a big jar and students just put in their spare change…but here is where it get interesting
say you are a senior, you will put only pennies in the senior jar- each penny is one point but say someone from another grade puts a nickel in your jar that will subtract 5 points from your jar. you can have the jars out during lunch, some people get really into it. last year people were donating 20 dollar bills to other grades jars so that grade would lose 2 thousand points, we made over a thousand dollars and gave the class with the most points wins some type of small prize.
if you have a coin star machine some place near you it makes it easy to count all the coins, and normally if you tell the store that gives you the cash for the coins that its for a fu nraiser they won’t take any of your earnings like they would normally do. its a simple and fun activity, and is always one of our best fund raisers

Candy-grams are always a good one. It’s where you tell everyone in the school that for say 50 cents or a dollar they can send candy to someone. It’s good around the holidays. Having a dance, and charging money at the door. You could see if you can get something donated, such as game tickets, and then raffle it off.
