School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

I am student council president at my school and our funds are low. So I need any ideas that we could do for fundraisers. You can tell me whatever your school does, what you did in school, what your kids are doing, or any idea you can think of. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, and happy new year!

To be honest, times are tight so the best fundraisers raise money where people already spend it. If you have a McDonald’s night or a Round Table night where those restaurants will give a percentage of the money to your school (usually you have to have a coupon), that’s good because people will buy the food there anyways. I also liked the grocery store certificates (can’t remember their names) as I had to buy groceries every week anyways. I’d sell them to my family and get that little 2% or 4%. Every little bit helps.

you could have a bake sale. if the school has an art class for the students maybe they could decorate bags or make things that parents can buy (parents always want things their children make). it’s a little off but for the month of Feb. sale candy grams…a person can buy the candy and they can send it to someone else. if this is high school during breaks maybe you could sale bagels, nachos or snack food. i hope this helps…good luck.

Perhaps you might consider a bake sale. You could probably hold it at a school function. For example, maybe an indoor sporting event.

Right before Christmas break one of the third grade classrooms sold candy canes to the school. They did this for a little over a week by coming around to the classrooms in the morning. They raised over $1,000.
