I HATE SCHOOL FUND RAISERS! I would rather just give the school the money instead of being bombarded with worthless crap or turning my kid into some sort of traveling salesperson!

That said, I would probably buy from an Avon fundraiser. Especially if I knew that all the proceeds were going to the school, and that they would be earning 35-45%. I think if you sent a flyer out and let people know those things that it would be successful.
References :
Mom of 3 (2 school age)

As a parent, I avoid food fun raisers (cookie dough, pies, restaurant nights out etc). But I do participate in the book fairs. If my school were to have an Avon fund raiser, I would participate. I like their products and they're not that expensive. Plus knowing that a good percentage goes to the school, I would definitely participate.
References :
mom of 2

My MIL is an Avon Rep and I chair that particular fundraiser at my children's school. The fundraiser is a good one and has been very profitable in the past. Last year's participation rate was just over 40%, with a total sales of just over $10,000, and 40% returning to the school. By the time my MIL figures in her expenses and the small prizes that are offered, she does not make any money from this.

If you go ahead with this, I wish you the best of luck.
