i am in a high school group of 8 freshmen and sophomores working on a group promoting water conservation. In this group we are also looking to help the thirsty. we are buying special filtering water bottles and shipping them to kenya africa do they’d have clean disease and bacteria free water ! Unfortunately, we have no money and the bottles and shipping is extremely expensive so we need major fundraiser ideas.
I am the fundraising director and I need help.
NO car washes
NO dog washes
because were promoting water conservation
Any ideas ?
raffles & bake sales & garage sales aren’t very popular in our area.
So . . . any cheap ideas. I say cheap because we have almost no money now as we are a new group.
Thank you all ideas are helpful ! ! !
p.s – i go to a small private school (7 – 12) consisting of 290 people just incase that helps
I was in the Environmental Action club last year, and we made rain barrels and sold them for 50 dollars each. It turned out to be a huge success. We had the old barrels donated to us, and it worked out really well. We all got together, made them, then sold them, and got a good profit. We’re going to use this profit to put solar panels on our high school.

I commend you for getting involved for this. What a great cause!
While you are thinking of putting on a fundraiser you can offer your services. Think of things you can do in your spare time with your talents. Maybe you can teach the piano, or skating maybe help with homework. That way you’ve got money coming in with little investment.
You said that you don’t have much money. With fundraising companies it’s not a problem. You can collect orders, collect from your customers THEN pay us. We’ve helped schools and churches in the same situation as you. With products like cookie dough you can sell in your free time and you don’t have to pay up front for it. If you don’t like cookie dough, fine, there are other ideas on our site you can pick that you might like. just one of those products and a good fundraising campaign can raise the numbers your looking for
If there are a few of you involved in the fundraising you can put on events. Concerts, auction a few tickets to a play, BBQ at a local mall etc.
The more time you have the more options you put into play. With only 290 people in your school you’ll probably have to sell to people in the community.
Good luck with whatever you choose.
