School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

Archive for the ‘candy fundraising’ Category

My daughter is trying to organize a fundraiser at her school but she doesn’t want to do one of those normal car wash, candy bar selling, fundraisers. Any new ideas for her?

Hey Debbie

We might be able to give you a few fundraising ideas. We have a lot so it depends on what you feel comfortable doing, but here are a few ideas:

We have victory cards which are like scratch cards. They are simple to do, each card raises $115 dollars and it works great with school groups.

Everything from catalogue sales, to candles, trail mix etc.

You can also do things like a talent contest or concert at school. Maybe even a sporting event students VS teachers and charge for admission.

Good Luck to her

I really want to go to a convention next summer with my mother and was planning on "fundraising."

My ideas were to clean houses, babysit, shovel snow, and sell candy bars.
Is it illegal for me to sell candy bars? And yes, if people ask what it is for I will tell them that it’s for a trip next summer.

I just don’t see why someone couldn’t fundraise, because churches can fundraise for their trips, so just because I’m not going with a church doesn’t mean I should not be allowed to.

you can fund raise but in your case it is called working – nothing wrong with that. I’d leave out selling candy though. If you say to someone you are shovelling snow because you want money to do XY or Z, they should think well done.

I’m in Science Club and we need an idea for fundraising. We don’t want to sell candy again and we’ve been thinking maybe a pizza or bake sales. Do you know any other good ideas?

I saw your question and wanted to share some fundraising ideas that are:

- FREE

- Easy to start and maintain

- Requires very little time

- Raise money year-round and nationwide

- Some programs can be a source of ongoing income for your organization

- Some of the fundraising ideas use the power of “word-of-mouth” advertising because supporters
benefit from sharing great deals and ways to save money with their family and friends which
benefits your organization. People not affiliated with your organization can help raise money
for your organization by saving money and by sharing with others how they can save money.

Im doing a fundraiser fir cheerleading andI have three boxes of bandy bars (all kinds), each have 64 bars in them. I’ve sold about one whole box and have a week and a half to sell the remaining 128 pieces of candy. I can’t take the stuff to school and my parents can’t take them to work. I’m stressing out! How do I sell the candy in such a short time?!

Have you asked all your relatives? Can any of them take to their work places or maybe a club function to sell? It’s getting harder and harder to sell anything…most parents don’t want their kids walking door-to-door anymore and you can’t stand outside of stores without a permit…so just do what you can and when you do your best…that’s all anyone can expect of a person.

If your parents "can’t take them to work"…can they at least get orders and you go to their house or meet them in the parking lot after work or something? I don’t see where people would mind spending a dollar or so for a candy bar….they put more than that into those vending machines for a mid-day snack ;) .
