School Fundraising Ideas

Helping you raise money to support your teachers and kids

Archive for October, 2008

We need to raise a couple thousand dollars this year and I need some ideas on what we can do to fundriase? We cannot sell any type of food or candy. Ideas for outside of the school fundraising and inside the school fundraising are all good..thanks

My niece’s class had to raise money for an overseas trip. They sold coffee beans (okay because they were roasted and prebagged); chocolates (before Christmas) and the biggest money-maker was selling movie tickets. This was in Canada: tickets to go to the movies cost $12.50 each, the school pre-sold 2000 tickets (and collected the money in advance, families bought a number of tickets for their kids but also as gifts for the paper boy, the babysitter, etc – these were sold in October and tickets came in November – preChristmas). The tickets (in bulk cost $9.00 each – the class made $7000)! They raised more than enough money and gave the rest to a charity.

Good luck.

I’m an officer in a school charity group and we need ideas for fundraising this fall, we try to do themed things usually (pink teddy bears for valentines day, candy canes for the holidays, etc) and we need ideas for fall. its a small, pretty strict school when it comes to what we can sell. also it has to be targeted to a teen audience and we need to make them care about our causes. bake sales aren’t allowed, but besides that please offer ideas, it’s greatly appreciated!

Halloween candy
pumpkins they can decorate for Halloween
something with leaves?
small first aid kits in case they “Fall”

do you have to sell things or could you have a collection drive for canned/non-perishable foods to be donated to a food bank with a prize for the grade/class that donates the most?

Or there’s a game called Sabotage where each class has a jar that they donate pennies to. The class with the most pennies wins the prize, however, other classes can sabotage the jar by putting in other coins. The pennies are totaled up and then the other coins are totaled up and that total is subtracted from the pennies total in order to determine the winner. The money is then donated to a charity.

Our club is need of money and so far we don't have any clue what to do to raise money, especially that we have a carnival too worry about too.

If you guys have any fun ideas that our fellow high school students would enjoy and would raise a lot of money, please let me know.

THANKS!

The French Club had a dog wash !! OMG… it was hysterical. First , the dog went to a " washer". then to a
" rinser" and then the dryers who had blow dryers. Then , last he went to the " treater" where he got a doggie treat.

They put up flyers all over town two weeks in advance in shops and shop windows. They got a pet store to donate the dog shampoo, but some people brought their own. The dog treats were also donated. They charged $3.00 for small dogs and $4. 25 for large dogs.

When it was all over they had a water fight and they made almost $500( I think… not sure)

You need wash buckets and water hoses. They really had more customers than they thought and a line formed, so some of the athletes came to help.
